Structure Type: Steel Parker Through Bridge

Bridge No. 44-73-3332A, was a steel Parker through truss, that was replaced in 2009 with a new structure by the Indiana Department of Transportation.  The bridge was deemed to be historic by the Indiana Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology.  The bridge was disassembled and placed in storage in April 2009.  The members that would have exposed steel areas after disassembly were painted prior to storage at an INDOT facility along SR 44 south of Rushville IN.  The bridge was posted to INDOT’s Historic Bridges Marketing Website about 2002 had been in storage along SR44 for nearly 20 years.  No one ever claimed the bridge for use in a park or for any reuse options.

The bridge was subsequently donated to S-BRITE in the spring of 2021.  It is hoped that the bridge or portions thereof can be re-erected.
